What is LitLoot?

LitLoot is a free service much like a subscription box service. Each month, the Library releases new themed LitLoot boxes - LitLoot Junior for children ages 9-12 years of age and LitLoot Teen for teens ages 13-18. Themes are announced on the sign-up sheet.

What's in a LitLoot box?

Each month, LitLoot boxes contain two library books, along with treats and trinkets. In addition, boxes include a paperback book for you to keep. Each person receiving a LitLoot box receives different books - except for the free paperback. Throughout the month, teens will discuss the selected book on their LitLoot Discord Channel, while Juniors meet on the 3rd Monday of the month at 4 p.m. to discuss their paperback.

How do I know if I'm getting a LitLoot box?

When you sign up, you'll give us your contact information. If there is a box available, we will call you to schedule a time for you to pick up your LitLoot box from our contactless locker service. Boxes become available the first business day after the first of the month and are due by the end of the month. The LitLoot box will be checked out to you. Please return the box and the 2 library books. All other items are yours to keep.
